The project Empresas Solidarias presents its 2021 edition with the aim of overcoming the 100 participating organizations

The project Empresas Solidarias has presented its new edition this morning with the aim of reaching 100 participating organizations. This is the twelfth edition of this initiative that each year adds new companies to deliver Christmas care packages with food and hygiene products to meet the needs of different associations and groups in the province of Alicante. Last year 94 companies made financial and donation of goods, and the promoters have set themselves a challenge to overcome the hundred participating organizations this year.

The presentation of the new campaign was attended by some of the founders of the project, companies such as Grupo MarjalGrupo Pikolinos or Mustang, as well as entities that have collaborated in previous editions. The event was held at the headquarters of Stoller Europe, which was incorporated last year, and has also served to present the initiative’s new website which offers extensive information on the evolution of the project, the actions taken into account and the possibilities of collaboration.

During this year, the possibility of making donations through Bizum is maintained, with the aim that individuals can also collaborate. Through this platform, citizens will be able to collaborate with the code 01145, through their banking application, and make contributions of one or two Christmas batches, worth € 45 or € 90, which will go directly to families at risk of social exclusion.

The participants at the presentation reminded that by 2020, the project delivered 1,600 care packages that benefited 7,000 people through the different non-profit entities that work in locations such as Alicante, Elche, Ibi, Pedreguer, Orihuela or Guardamar. Companies that want to join the project can do so until November 20.

Empresas Solidarias is a project composed of different companies in the province of Alicante that decided to join forces in 2010 to make a solidarity contribution to vulnerable families in different municipalities on the occasion of the arrival of the Christmas holidays. The number of participating companies has increased in the different editions, with nearly a hundred organizations and entities that made financial or donation of goods to the project last year.
