Lemon

Lemon

Native to Southeast Asia. It belongs to the Rutaceae family and to the genus Citrus.

It is a vigorous tree with very short and strong thorns, its leaves are alternate, simple, coriaceous, with elliptical limb of more or less closed margin, the flowers are solitary or in small bunches and the fruit is a hesperidium.

It is mainly used in fresh market consumption, but lately, its industrial use has increased.

The most productive countries are Mexico, Argentina, India, Iran and Spain (the main exporter of lemons to Europe).

LEMON TREE RECOMMENDATIONS

Bioforge

Dose:
- 1 - 2 L/Ha

Moment:
- In stress situations during the crop cycle.

Application purpose:
- Eliminates the excess of ethylene caused by abiotic/biotic stress (Hail, frost, phytotoxicities, plagues…).

Nitroplus 9 + B GA

Dose:
- 20 L/Ha and month

Moment:
- During the whole crop cycle (10 L/Ha every 15 days).

Application purpose:
- Promotes a balanced vegetative growth and continuous root development, even in unfavorable soils.
- Supplies efficiently assimilable calcium and assures its translocation, which translates into a good hormonal movement and in a reduction of physiological disorders like “clearing”.
- Minimizing: the effects of fungus attacks; soil salinity and irrigation water conditions.

Bioforge

Dose:
- 1 - 2 L/Ha

Moment:

Dose:

Moment:

- Stimulates homogenous bud break, supplying a source of nutrients (Ca, Mg, Zn and N-ureic) and stimulating Stoller technology.

Keylate Mg

Dose:
- 5 L/Ha

Moment:
- Pre-flowering, with 2mm buds.
- Apply with BUD POWER.

Application purpose:
- Improves bud break .
- Mg (component in chlorophyll), is involved in: the photosynthetic process; nutrient transfer and enzyme synthesis.

Keylate Cu

Dose:
- 5 L/Ha

Moment:
- Pre-flowering, with 2mm buds.
- Apply with BUD POWER.

Application purpose:
- Improves bud break .
- Cu is involved in: protein synthesis from N2; ethylene management and therefore hormonal balance and as a fungicide.

Stimulante Plus

Dose:
- 1 L/Ha

Moment:
- Apply in flowering and with 80% fallen petals.

Application purpose:
- Improves flower fixation and fruit set, helping reduce their abscission.

Hold Plus

Dose:
- 1.5 - 3 L/Ha

Moment:
- Apply in flowering and with 80% fallen petals for fruit set. This is to avoid abscission due to water stress, and in color formation to avoid abscission.
- Apply with STOLLER POTASSIUM.

Application purpose:
- Improves flower fixation and fruit set in stress situations.
- Avoids abscission of recently set fruit due to water stress as well as avoiding floral button physiological abscission, in varieties from the “Navel” group or groups sensitive to dramatic temperature changes.
- It slows down premature ripening and senescence due to Ethylene, giving rise to an improved fruit preservation on the tree and, therefore increasing the harvest period without affecting the organoleptic qualities nor the color.

Set

Dose:
- 3 L/Ha

Moment:
- Apply together with fruit set treatments and in the month after petals fall.

Application purpose:
- Improves fruit set by supplying Boron and Calcium (necessary for flower fecundation and fruit set viability).
- It supplies an efficient source of Boron which gives cell Wall flexibility and, together with Calcium, gives rise to a consistent skin and flexibility.

Keylate Mn

Dose:
- 5 L/Ha

Moment:
- Apply in flowering together with STIMULANTE PLUS , HOLD PLUS and SET.

Application purpose:
- Improves fruit set. Zinc and Manganese are involved in the synthesis and reduces oxidative degradation of auxins as well as energy and photosynthates transfer.

Keylate Zn

Dose:
- 5 L/Ha

Moment:
- Apply in flowering together with STIMULANTE PLUS , HOLD PLUS and SET.

Application purpose:
- Improves fruit set. Zinc and Manganese are involved in the synthesis and reduces oxidative degradation of auxins as well as energy and photosynthates transfer.

Citocalcium

Dose:
- 2 L/Ha

Moment:
- Apply at 80% fallen petals. to increase caliber, repeat 20 days after.

Application purpose:
- Promotes cell division in recently set fruits, to obtain, during the filling stage, improved calibers.

Stoller Potassium

Dose:
- 10 L/Ha

Moment:
- From the first fruit set, every 15 days (Alternate with NITROPLUS).

Application purpose:
- Supplies Potassium, Ureic Nitrogen together with the Stoller Technology, to promote: filling (caliber) and correct skin formation on the fruit; transfer of photosynthates from the leaves and final physiological development of the plant.

Sugar Mover

Dose:
- 3 L/Ha

Moment:
- Two applications, 35 and 15 days before Harvest.

Application purpose:
- Move sugars from the leaves towards the fruit, increasing Brixº and a homogenous color.
- Applied after harvest it transfers the sugars to the buds, to favor the subsequent bud break.

Ripener

Dose:
- 3 - 4 L/Ha

Moment:
- During fruit filling to increase sugar transfer

Application purpose:
- Supplies Potassium together with the Stoller Technology, to boost: filling (caliber) and correct skin formation on the fruit; transfer of photosynthates from the leaves and final physiological development of the plant.
- Increases intracellular pH in the leaf cells, increasing photosynthetic rates and sugar transfer.
- Acidifying the solution (pH 8-5.5), makes it more assimilable and effective in fungicide and insecticide treatments.
